Our transformer switches are used in medical technology. From operating theater trolleys to laser or X-ray equipment to hospital power supplies.
Wherever the transformer generates a high inrush current and the fuse cannot withstand this high current flow, our inrush current limiter is used.
A larger fuse is often used to overprotect the device. If there is then a fault in the appliance, the fuse does not trip as intended. The TSR prevents this inrush current and thus guarantees the functionality of the appliance. In addition, the transformer starter protector monitors the mains for half-wave failures and voltage dips.
Transformer starter switches ensure that a device continues to function without interruption even after a half-wave failure. This is crucial for the reliability of medical devices and is required by the EN61000-4-11 standard. Many customer devices in which our transformer switches are installed are certified to this standard (EN61000-4-11).
